I blogged this morning about Thursday being crazy, and it was. Oh hell – it really was. But now I’m home, on the couch, watching Sci-Fi, and trying to relax.
I presented in class tonight, and that was fine. We had a ton of good discussion. Then in my later class, we also had good discussion. I really, really enjoy my classes.
And then I was driving home and was stopped on campus, for speeding, and my ticket is $150. I know – I was speeding. I was in the wrong. Not gonna deny it. Still sucks to get a ticket at 9pm with hardly anyone around. But I will remember that the cops love to sit on the side of the road before a major light heading off campus. I will remember that for the next four years.
Tomorrow is the beginning of homework madness. I’m not going to campus because my morning class has been cancelled, so I’m going to work from home. I have a major outline for policy due next week, plus a memo, reading for my other two classes (and their digests), and I have a major project due on Monday. This is going to be a busy weekend. In other news – I am going to go to the grocery store in the morning and get coconut milk so I can make vegan truffles. Yes. I just said vegan truffles. I’m also considering these pretzels. Decisions, decisions.
Today was not a horrible day. Getting a ticket sucks, but I should look on the bright side – it will not go on my driving record nor will it be put on my insurance. I’m just out $150. I can live with that.
I’m going to stay up for a while. I feel like I need to be awake and read or something – something to live in the moment right now.
